How did it come about? Well, this is the
second attempt to get one “on the
move”, so to speak. Michelle started
www.nocoaussies.com, but between
inactivity on my part and Michelle’s
“real job”, it just faded away. Thank
you, Michelle, for your efforts.
Jo and her husband, Russell – both heavily
involved in web design and maintenance –
seized the day and told me to get my
tail end into gear and write an opening
page for this new web site.
these two nags, I will have to put my
thinking cap on and keep it on so that
we keep this website alive as a medium
to get information to you on a more
regular basis, rather than sitting down
and writing an e-mail whenever an event
Anyway, I guess a little history is
needed about now.
I have been in
Colorado for almost 15 years and through
that period of time I have met many
fellow Australians, and we have been
able to get together on many occasions
and enjoy our own culture in various
forms, such as Australia Day, Anzac Day,
Christmas in July, Footy Grand Finals,
Shrimp and Champagne (a Christmas
get-together), and Christmas for
Orphans, to name a few. You’ll see from
the website Events tab that all events
I have seen this group grow from a small
number of ten to twelve people, to a
group exceeding one hundred plus
Australians from all walks of life –
Doctors, Teachers, Physiotherapists,
Engineers, Paramedics, IT Personnel,
University Lecturers, RN’s,
Hairdressers, Marketing Personnel,
Plumbers, Carpenters and more.
